High Levels of Toxic ‘Forever Chemicals’ Found in More Than Half of Cosmetics Sold in U.S.

Many cosmetics sold in the U.S. and Canada likely contain high levels of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), a potentially toxic class of chemicals linked to a number of serious health conditions, according to new research from the University of Notre Dame.

Scientists tested more than 200 cosmetics including concealers, foundations, eye and eyebrow products and various lip products. According to the study, 56% of foundations and eye products, 48% of lip products and 47% of mascaras tested were found to contain high levels of fluorine, which is an indicator of PFAS use in the product. The study was recently published in the journal of Environmental Science and Technology Letters.

“These results are particularly concerning when you consider the risk of exposure to the consumer combined with the size and scale of a multibillion-dollar industry that provides these products to millions of consumers daily,” Graham Peaslee, professor of physics at Notre Dame and principal investigator of the study, said. “There’s the individual risk — these are products that are applied around the eyes and mouth with the potential for absorption through the skin or at the tear duct, as well as possible inhalation or ingestion. PFAS is a persistent chemical — when it gets into the bloodstream, it stays there and accumulates. There’s also the additional risk of environmental contamination associated with the manufacture and disposal of these products, which could affect many more people.”

Previously found in nonstick cookware, treated fabrics, fast food wrappers and most recently, the personal protective equipment used by firefighters across the country, PFAS are known as “forever chemicals,” because the chemical compounds don’t naturally degrade — which means they end up contaminating groundwater for decades after their release into the environment. Use of PFAS in foam fire suppressants has been linked to contaminated drinking water systems, prompting the Department of Defense to switch to environmentally safer alternatives, for example.

Studies have linked certain PFAS to kidney cancer, testicular cancer, hypertension, thyroid disease, low birth weight and immunotoxicity in children…..

Children As Young As Five At Risk of Suicide And Self-Harm Amid Excessive Lockdowns

Children as young as five are seeking help from self-harm and suicidal concerns amid excessive lockdown measures in Victoria, Australia, new data from the Kids Helpline reveals.

According to the Financial Review: “Emergency interventions to protect young people in Victoria from suicide and child abuse have skyrocketed by 184 per cent over the past six months, as the state grapples with the mental health consequences of repeated C0VID-19 lockdowns.”

Teenagers are said to be the most at risk, with youth aged 13-18 accounting for 75 per cent of the total crisis interventions from December 1, 2020, to May 31, 2021, the data revealed.

Sky News Australia noted the concerning reports that “Victorian schools are dealing with an unprecedented surge in both self-harm and suicide attempts.”

Adding, “It’s across the board from prep right through to Year 12 both in regions and in the cities.”

The Herald Sun reports, Kids Helpline “received 13,000 suicide-related contacts in 2020, with 1150 callers presenting with an immediate suicide issue. More than one-third of contacts requiring intervention from emergency services involved suicide.”

Tony Fitzgerald, Kids Helpline virtual services manager told the Herald Sun, calls have soared during the pandemic, and the demand has continued throughout 2021.

“There are long-term effects from last year,” he said, “even with the youngest kids who are struggling to cope with their anxiety on top of everyday pressures.”…

New tech to revolutionize night vision: Ultra-thin film could one day be used on reading glasses

Researchers from The Australian National University (ANU) have developed new technology that allows people to see clearly in the dark, revolutionising night-vision.

The first-of-its-kind thin film, described in a new article published in Advanced Photonics, is ultra-compact and one day could work on standard glasses.

The researchers say the new prototype tech, based on nanoscale crystals, could be used for defence, as well as making it safer to drive at night and walking home after dark.

The team also say the work of police and security guards — who regularly employ night vision — will be easier and safer, reducing chronic neck injuries from currently bulk night-vision devices.

“We have made the invisible visible,” lead researcher Dr Rocio Camacho Morales said.

“Our technology is able to transform infrared light, normally invisible to the human eye, and turn this into images people can clearly see — even at distance.

“We’ve made a very thin film, consisting of nanometre-scale crystals, hundreds of times thinner than a human hair, that can be directly applied to glasses and acts as a filter, allowing you to see in the darkness of the night.”

The technology is extremely lightweight, cheap and easy to mass produce, making them accessible to everyday users.

Currently, high-end infrared imaging tech requires cryogenic freezing to work and are costly to produce. This new tech works at room temperatures….

U.S. College COVID Vaccine Mandates Don’t Consider Immunity or Pregnancy, and May Run Foul of the Law

For Joshua Hauser, a junior at the University of California Berkeley, the requirement to get a COVID-19 vaccine before fall semester is like getting a plum campus housing assignment. “People are really excited about getting the vaccine on campus,” he says. “It will help us feel safe at school.” And he’s hopeful it will mean a return to normal. “On Zoom, that’s all we talk about — we just wish we were together in person.”

Beginning in late March, some U.S. colleges and universities began issuing requirements for students to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 if they want to return to campus this autumn. Some policies include faculty and staff. What began as a handful of colleges soon turned into dozens by mid April, and to date, some 350 institutions have issued such policies — even though all three COVID-19 vaccines available in the U.S. remain under emergency use authorization (EUA) status, and not approved.

Broad mandates in the civilian population of an unapproved product are unprecedented, and the legality may ultimately be answered in court. So at some institutions, the mandates come with fine print. The University of California System policy, for example, is marked DRAFT in red and will go into effect only if a vaccine receives full approval.

Other institutions are using the word “approval” more loosely, leaving room for ambiguity. In its March 25 announcementRutgers, a public university in New Jersey, refers to “three vaccines currently approved in the United States.” The University of Massachusetts Lowell initially stated that a mandate would not be legal, then flipped to issue a requirement for students. In an email to The BMJ, the university clarified that “students do not need to get a COVID-19 vaccination immediately, they simply need to be fully vaccinated with a U.S. approved COVID-19 vaccine before returning to campus in the fall.”…

What does it say about an institution that it’s ignorant of natural immunity?    Or that it has no qualms about experimenting on their students?  This is cult-like behavior.   Who would want to spend money at such a place?

What happened to higher education?

Nullify Federal Gun Control: Four States Get the Ball Rolling

Using the 10th Amendment to defend the 2nd Amendment – four states with new laws on the books for 2021. And 3 others that are getting close to joining them.

These are great steps forward, but just the beginning. As Samuel Adams put it, “Instead of sitting down satisfied with the efforts we have already made, which is the wish of our enemies, the necessity of the times, more than ever, calls for our utmost circumspection, deliberation, fortitude and perseverance.”

Rhodes College announces plan to profile and discriminate against unvaccinated students, fine them $3,000 per year

(Natural News) Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee just released a new policy of segregation for the Fall 2021 semester. Rhodes College will violate the medical privacy of their students and require each individual to show digital proof that they were inoculated by an emergency use authorization (EUA) covid vaccine. If a student fails to comply, they will be profiled as an “unvaccinated student” and fined $1,500 per semester. Moreover, the “unvaccinated student” will be subject to “mandatory testing” in the form of weekly DNA swabs and may be forced into intermittent ten-day isolation if they refuse to submit to the forced medical experiment.

University’s forced medical experimentation takes segregation to a new level

According to the school’s new policy of segregation, the unvaccinated student can be held down for ten days at a time, stripped of their due process rights, and determined to be guilty of infection at all times. The student will be isolated on the basis of a fraudulently-calibrated PCR test that cannot determine non-infectious viral debris from an actual infection. The policy promises to abuse the “unvaccinated student” further and deprive them of their right to move about freely, associate with others and breathe unhindered.

The policy also states that the university can use these “mandatory tests” to generate more restrictions on unvaccinated students as a whole. If the tests reach a certain positivity rate (predetermined by the university), the unvaccinated students can be segregated further, and may “not be permitted to participate in certain campus events and activities including Athletics, clubs and intramurals, and student organizations.”…

And no doubt some students will surrender because, after all, the establishment wouldn’t betray them and destroy their lives would it?   They’re american citizens after all.   They have rights.   It says so in their textbooks.

This is slavery.
