Making sense of the early-2000s warming slowdown

It has been claimed that the early-2000s global warming slowdown or hiatus, characterized by a reduced rate of global surface warming, has been overstated, lacks sound scientific basis, or is unsupported by observations. The evidence presented here contradicts these claims.
Methinks AGW is a bigger scam than 9/11. If it falls through, maybe they’ll resort to an alien invasion, with the “aliens” demanding a global tax under threat of annihilation. Or maybe God will come down from the sky and demand that we obey his duly appointed authority figures.
