The U.S. public pension gap has tripled to at least $2 trillion in less than a decade, Moody’s Investors Service said in a report on Thursday.
Moody’s measured the unfunded liabilities for the 25 biggest public retirement systems between 2004 and 2012. The total future shortfall is more than half the size of the $3.7 trillion municipal bond market, which comprises all the outstanding debt issued by U.S. states and cities.
The gap has widened in spite of the fact that average investment returns over about the same period were 7.45 percent, roughly in line with targets, according to the Wall Street credit rating agency.
Confirmation that the first case of Ebola has arrived in the United States will prompt questions as to whether the CDC will enact emergency procedures that could see even healthy Americans detained against their will.
The Centers for Disease Control confirmed today that an Ebola victim was admitted to the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. Reference to the patient’s “recent travel history” suggests that the victim arrived from one of the African countries hit by the virus.
The patient has been held in “strict isolation” and the hospital is “complying with all recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and the Texas Department of Health to ensure the safety of other patients and medical staff,” according to WFAA.
In an understandable effort to prevent hysteria, the CDC has been reticent to release too many details about its preparations for a potential Ebola outbreak inside the United States, although plans currently on the record allow for the quarantine of “well persons” as well as those who “do not show symptoms” of the virus.
Part one in a series featuring Gary Webb in his own words. The interview was conducted and filmed by the Guerrilla News Network, scholars, and professors at the 2003 School of Authentic Journalism. Gary is the subject of the new feature film “Kill The Messenger” starring Jeremy Renner. If you think this is ancient history you’re being naive. It’s become a pillar of the US dollar (the narcodollar) and will become moreso as more countries abandon the petrodollar.
… The United States government now owns the patent on Ebola
This plot gets even more interesting when you realize that a patent on Ebola was awarded to the United States government just five years ago, in 2009.
That patent, number CA2741523A1, is available here.
Astonishingly, the patent claims U.S. government ownership over all variants of Ebola which share 70% or more of the protein sequences described in the patent: “[CLAIMS] …a nucleotide sequence of at least 70%-99% identity to the SEQ ID…”
Furthermore, the patent also claims ownership over any and all Ebola viruses which are “weakened” or “killed,” meaning the United States government is literally claiming ownership over all Ebola vaccines.
What this means, of course, is that the U.S. government can demand royalties on all Ebola vaccines.
Even more Orwellian is the fact that the U.S. government can use this patent to halt all other research for treatments or cures for Ebola.
Patent monopoly gives U.S. government legal right to block all non-vaccine Ebola treatments, cures or research
Do you remember the massive medical controversy over the BRCA1 gene tied to breast cancer in women? One corporation claimed patent ownership over the gene and then they used that patent to shut down all other research, testing or diagnosis of breast cancer related to that gene. To date, nearly 20% of the human genome has been claimed as “owned” by corporations, universities and even the government.
The controversy went all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court which ultimately ruled that human genes cannot be patented. But the Supreme Court decision actually protected patents on gene sequences for viruses and other pathogens.
The truth of the matter is that anyone who owns the Ebola gene patent can legally use that patent to shut down all research on Ebola, including research for non-vaccine medical treatments and cures. This is how medical monopolies are reinforced: by monopolizing all the research and all the “cures.” …
Elsewhere in the article the author claims that the timetable for the introduction of the test vaccine is implausible, apparently based on the idea that research only began after the most recent outbreak. This is silly, if the US government got a patent on it in 2009 it’s obviously been seen as a top research priority for longer than that. In fact Nature has an article about human testing from 2004: http://www.nature.com/nri/journal/v4/n1/full/nri1282.html . Still, the above argument makes sense to me and would certainly facilitate the mass depopulation agenda that we know has been in the works for years.
We have already established in previous articles that the flu vaccine is by far the most dangerous vaccine in the United States, injuring and killing many people every year based on settled court cases by the Department of Justice in the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. (See: Victims Crippled and Killed by the Flu Shot Compensated by U.S. Government.)
And yet, hospitals across the country are mandating that healthcare workers receive the flu vaccine as a requirement to keep their employment. The main reason for this policy of forcing employees to receive the flu vaccine is not based on solid science that it protects patients (the science actually points towards no patient benefits), but based on funding requirements for medical reimbursements through Medicare and Medicaid, and through the Affordable Health Care Act, that require healthcare facilities to have a high compliance rate of employees receiving the flu vaccine. …
The pro-Pharma mainstream media would like everyone to believe that doctors and “scientists” all agree that vaccines are safe and effective, and that dissenters are uneducated or uninformed parents.
Not true. Doctors and scientists who dare to speak out against the status quo, putting their own careers in jeopardy for telling the other side of the story, are of course few, and clearly in the minority. But that does not mean they do not exist. It just means they are fewer in number, because they value truth and the health and well-being of the public more than financial connections to the pharmaceutical industry.
Below, we bring you short videos from three different doctors who all do an excellent job of summarizing the “other side” of the story when it comes to vaccines. You will not hear this anywhere in the mainstream media. …
The Pentagon has dispatched eight military personnel to Kiev this week to provide tips to Ukrainian security forces on counterinsurgency and military planning tactics.
Military staff will share with the Ukrainians some of the Pentagon’s planning tactics, techniques and procedures while collecting data on the needs of its security forces, according to Pentagon spokeswoman Eileen Lainez. Staff arrived in Kiev, the country’s capital, on Thursday and Friday and are beginning to assess the operations of the Ukraine Ministry of Defense, Ms. Lainez told The Washington Times.
The eight military personnel have been split up into two teams, according to Ms. Lainez. One team has been told to assess the security needs of the Ukrainian government and look for ways that the U.S. can supply military equipment to the country, Ms. Lainez said.
“With support from Ukraine and the State Department, the security assessment team will also explore the potential of expanding our current Office of Defense Cooperation in Keiv, to enhance Ukraine’s military capabilities and interoperability,” she said. …
“Counterinsurgency” is what the US was carrying out in latin america in the 80’s and vietnam before that. It’s a tacit admission that the regime has insufficient support among its own population to maintain power without external support for its apparatus of internal repression. Of course nothing is black and white and I wouldn’t be surprised if the russians had boots on the ground in ukraine. But the russian’s didn’t foment a coup in kiev and they’re not trying to surround the USA with offensive ABM bases, at least not yet. It’s clear which side is on the offensive here, and which side’s record of financing death squads abroad pales in comparison to the other’s.
Intelligence operations (grassroots or otherwise) aren’t for passive entertainment. You have to dig and reevaluate constantly if you want to utilize the net effectively. The price of laziness in a maze of constant disinformation is finding yourself in a smaller herd of sheep than the dominant herd, while you’re still being led to the slaughter. It takes a lot of time. Sometimes it’s tedious. Many people just don’t have the energy, and I can’t blame them. But the dangers we face are historically unprecedented. Literally millions of people are being killed abroad and being set up to be killed at home, that much I’m sure of. For me, it all started with researching 9/11. The propagandists can’t rewrite the laws of physics, and I happen to know something about the subject. If I didn’t I’d have probably thrown up my hands and walked away a long time ago.
To put this issue in context, there’s plenty of other problems with the official story of sandy hook as well as a number of real mass shootings in recent history as this blog has covered over the years. The overarching agenda is disarmament of the american people by any means necessary, and in this world it’s not hard to see why that’s a bad idea.
The Rockefeller Legacy
In all of world history, it would be difficult to link as much mischief to any one name as can be traced to the Rockefeller family over the past century. From the ruthless monopoly capitalism that characterized the early industrial era to the building of an investment empire that spans the globe, the name of Rockefeller is usually the first that comes to mind. The slaughter of union organizers, blackmail of competitors, industrial and political espionage, ruthless population control schemes, and plots to overthrow governments are all part of the Rockefeller legacy.
It was John Davison Rockefeller, the patriarch of the Rockefeller dynasty, who built the family fortune with the Standard Oil Company he founded in 1870 at the age of 31. Within ten years, Rockefeller’s new firm had gained a stranglehold on oil refining in America, controlling such a huge share of production and shipping that he was able to undermine competitors by extracting from the railroads a private “tax” for every non-Standard Oil petroleum shipment they accepted.
By the mid 1880s, John D. Rockefeller had become a millionaire many times over. He had also become what one historian calls the most hated man in America, if not the world. Several state attorneys tried in vain to have him jailed for his corrupt business practices. And by the turn of the century, Rockefeller’s widely-criticised financial dealings prompted the passage of federal regulatory legislation to curb the power of monopolies. Even these anti-trust laws, however, were insufficient to limit the expansion of the vast Standard Oil empire.
Rockefeller himself was an austere, humourless Baptist, with an annoying habit of proclaiming that his wealth came from God. In reality, however, his fortune was amassed not only by extortion tactics against the railroads and the systematic sabotage of potential competition, but also through some of the most oppressive labour practices imaginable.
The Devil’s Money
Numerous published accounts of the labour movement in the early 20th century confirm that workers at that time were often subjected to barbaric, slave labour-type conditions. And the situation at the Rockefeller-owned Colorado Fuel and Iron Company in Ludlow, Colorado was among the worst. Labourers worked scandalously long hours under extraordinarily risky conditions. They were physically disciplined by company thugs and paid with vouchers that could only be exchanged for company housing or for food and other commodities dispensed by management. For all practical purposes, in other words, Rockefeller mine workers received substandard family housing and food, but no expendable wages whatever.
In 1913, when the United Mine Workers began organising, management responded by bringing in a battalion of private union busters. The miners promptly walked off the job and evacuated the company premises. The hired enforcers then retaliated by invading a tent city set up by the strikers. Two women and eleven children were killed in that first confrontation, and more than 75 minors lost their lives in a series of bloody battles that followed.
The so-called Ludlow massacre, as the Colorado incident was known, was just one in a series of events that kept the Rockefeller name constantly before the public and prompted the family to launch a then-unprecedented propaganda drive to improve its image. At the time of the Colorado mine revolt, the Rockefeller fortune was in the hands of John D. and his son, John D., Jr. Under the guidance of a clever public relations agent, films and press releases were distributed nationwide portraying the Rockefellers in a favourable light. One of the best-remembered gimmicks of this period was the legendary dime give-away. As the Rockefeller holdings soared more than a billion dollars, John D. Sr., over a period of years, presented shiny new dimes to an estimated 30,000 citizens — always with cameras present to record his “generosity.”
But serious philanthropy was the more durable part of the effort to redeem the Rockefeller name. In 1901, the family launched the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research, which later became Rockefeller University. Two years afterward, they established the General Education Board. And a Rockefeller Sanitary Commission was created with family money in 1909.
Then, in 1913, the year of the bloodbath in Colorado, the Rockefeller foundation was launched with $50 million worth of Standard Oil assets. Its charter described the foundation’s goal as the advancement of “the civilization of the peoples of the United States and its territories and possessions and of foreign lands…”
But the foundation’s “philanthropic” activities more often than not conveniently served the Rockefeller corporate interest, a pattern that continues to this day.
A foundation allows an investor to avoid paying taxes on that part of the company s profits that is set aside for the “public good.” The foundation is generally administered by the donor with the help of a hand-picked board of directors, and has wide leeway in determining what projects actually serve the public interest.
The Rockefeller Foundation at first turned its attention to science and academia, pouring money into colleges and universities to promote a worldview friendly toward the expansion of investment.
The Rockefellers also developed a keen interest in birth control. The Ludlow, Colorado experience had taught them that growing numbers of discontented, underpaid workers posed an imminent danger to wealthy industrialists such as themselves. The Rockefeller Foundation made its first grant for birth control studies to the Social Science Research Council in 1923. Thirteen years later, the Foundation created an Office of Population Research at Princeton University to address the political aspects of population change….
