Corruption in Global Health Care May Exceed $1 Trillion

Story at-a-glance

  • Dishonesty and fraud in the health care system, including its academic and research communities, are significant barriers to the implementation of universal health coverage, yet this corruption is rarely if ever discussed, let alone addressed in any meaningful way
  • The less transparent a health system is, the more corrupt it becomes. Weak adherence to the rule of law and few accountability mechanisms further invite corruption and, with it, health system performance, quality and efficiency plummet
  • The amount of corruption found in any given system is dependent on three variables: Monopoly on the supply of a product or service, the level of discretion enjoyed by suppliers, and the supplier’s accountability to others
  • Three factors governing the engagement in corrupt practices in the health care system are: being in a position of power; financial, peer and/or personal pressures; and cultural acceptance of corruption. In order for anticorruption measures to succeed, these three factors all need to be addressed
  • Drug research is beset by an astoundingly high incidence rate of scientific misconduct, with 72% of retracted drug studies being retracted due to things like data falsification, fabrication, unethical conduct and plagiarism

Smartphone, Radiation, Steel Wool & the Blood-Brain Barrier

Humans aren’t made of steel wool. Neither are animals or plants. However research has already determined that exposure to cell phone and WiFi radiation can cause harm to humans, animals, and plants. Symptoms, severity, and tolerance to exposure vary (see 1, 2). American Academy of Pediatrics and other health experts warn that children are more vulnerable to exposure (see 1, 2, 3).

Research has even determined that exposure can disrupt the blood-brain barrier, cause it to leak, and kill brain cells…

Yale University Study Establishes Link Between Major Neuropsychiatric Disorders & Childhood Vaccinations

How healthy are American children these days, exactly? As far as adults go, the picture is grim: the United States rates 51st on the world list of life expectancy despite its exorbitant healthcare spending, and the majority of Americans are burdened by chronic illnesses, often struggling with four or more at a time.

Sadly, this illness epidemic in the U.S. often starts early in a person’s life, before they have the knowledge and wisdom to make better choices. The stats are eye-opening to say the least:

  • 1 in 10 children between ages 5 and 17 are diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • 1 in 10 adolescents have experienced at least one major depressive episode every year
  • 1 in 10 youth have a mood disorder
  • Anxiety disorder affects 8% of children ages 13-18
  • The eating disorder anorexia nervosa (AN) is on the rise in children as young as kindergartners
  • 1 in 5 children experience debilitating mental disorders
  • 72% of all children have some kind of emotional problem

(Source: CDC)

All of the disorders have many potential contributing factors, including environmental ones,  food dyes in much of what children eat, unbalanced diets, GMOs and pesticide-laden foods, to name a few.

But what if there is another contributing factor — childhood vaccinations, and the growing numbers of them on the CDC’s recommendation schedule (25 shots from birth to 15 months old is recommended, and at least 29 more are usually given before the age of 18).

A new study sheds some light to these vaccinations’ potential link to these disorders.

Yale Study: Brain-Related Disorders Rise Following Childhood Vaccinations

A new study led by the Department of Public Health Science at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and Yale University found a surprising association between children receiving vaccinations and then developing brain-related autoimmune and inflammatory disorders: ADHD, OCD, anxiety, depression, bipolar, anorexia, and chronic tic disorder.

For the study, over 95,000 kids analyzed had one of the seven aforementioned neuropsychiatric disorders.

The cases were compared against other kids’ who did not have neuropsychiatric disorders, and others with conditions that could not possibly be caused or contributed to by vaccines: open wounds and broken bones.

As expected, the broken bones and open wounds cases showed no link to vaccinations; those with depression, ADHD and bipolar disorders did not show any significant association with vaccinations either.

But those who had been vaccinated were a shocking 80 percent more likely to be diagnosed with anorexia, and 25 percent more likely to be diagnosed with OCD than their non-vaccinated counterparts. Higher rates of anxiety disorders and chronic tics were also linked to vaccinations…

Mawson Study of Vaccinated vs Unvaccinated Kids Re-posted, Re-Censored

‘The Grumble-Free Year’: A Conversation With Author Tricia Goyer

The Epoch Times: How did you define grumbling?

Ms. Goyer: Grumbling is more than words. It includes eye-rolling, moaning, slamming cupboards, heavy sighing, and stomping away. It’s more than just muttering words … it goes deeper. Grumbling is truly rooted in discontent. We don’t get what we want when we want it, and so we complain about it.

Sadly, our grumbling not only hurts our relationships with each other, but it also puts up a barrier between us and God. When we grumble, we’re telling God, “What you’ve given us is not enough; you’re not enough.”

The Epoch Times: What were the biggest challenges of living grumble-free?

Ms. Goyer: Truthfully, the biggest challenge was looking at myself first and being an example. I wanted my kids not to grumble, and I had to be the example. Grumbling is easy. Harder is figuring out what’s really going on, trying to make changes, and attempting to communicate better.

While grumbling is not OK, I realized it is good communication to tell my husband my worries, the day’s challenges, and my needs. Overcoming my internal grumbles, transforming my thoughts and attitude, and talking about my needs has helped me to be honest and transparent. And my children are learning that, too.

Witnessing the Vaccine Injury Epidemic

Story at-a-glance

  • On November 14, 1986, President Reagan reluctantly signed the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act into law over the objections of drug company executives and federal agency officials; For the first time, the U.S. government admitted that vaccines can cause severe reactions: reactions like brain inflammation, permanent brain damage, paralysis and death
  • By the end of 1987, Congress had quietly amended the law and handed doctors a liability shield from vaccine injury lawsuits. In the early 1990s, Congress added more amendments to weaken vaccine safety provisions
  • The final betrayal came in 2011, when the U.S. Supreme Court granted the request by Big Pharma, medical trade and government and effectively shielded drug companies from all legal accountability for harm vaccines do to children
  • About 35,000 bad health outcomes after vaccination, including injuries and deaths, are reported to the government every year. That number is less than 1% of the total because doctors are not penalized for failing to report
  • Today, children and young adults part of the highest vaccinated population in American history are sicker than ever, crippled by chronic disease and disability marked by chronic inflammation in the brain and body

The One Straw Revolution by Masanobu Fukuoka

“An understanding of nature
lies beyond the reach
of human intelligence.”

I was exposed to Fukuoka’s One Straw Revolution book over 30 years ago. Here is a list of his books, in English and in several other languages: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=masanobu+fukuoka

Fukuoka was a botanist, a plant pathologist, in Japan. He kept removing unnecessary steps from the “new, improved, scientific” agricultural process until he – like Ruth Stout – grew extraordinary crops in improved soil. His garden, like hers, grew more and better than sophisticated modern methods allow. Both Ruth and Fukuoka used a lot of straw.

Four Principles of Natural Farming
1. No cultivation
2. No chemical fertilizer or prepared compost
3. No weeding by tillage or herbicides
4. No dependence on chemicals

“Do-nothing farming.” No insecticides. No pesticides. No weed-killers. No poisons. No time-wasters. No energy-suckers. Simply growing healthy food in healthy soil. Food forests. Animals and bugs don’t need that much to survive, anyway, so plant extra for them and let them munch. A rich soil produces vigorous plants that can take care of themselves. Visit a forest or a woody area that has not been touched by human hands. It’s lush and vibrant.

Perhaps Fukuoka learned to be lazy and successful from Ruth Stout? Or she from him? Or maybe the mid 70s was simply a time to remind the human race how to garden and farm simply – in harmony with nature?

“Let food be your medicine
and medicine your food.”

Ruth Stout’s Garden – ANYONE can grow food

If you’ve never heard of Ruth Stout before, you are in for a treat. Ruth wrote a garden column for a NY newspaper for many years. Her sense of humor is delightful. Here is a list of her helpful, encouraging books: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=ruth+stout

Listening to Ruth tell her story, she must be around 95 years old in this video. She talks about her 16th year. Carrie Nation came to her town in Kansas to speak. Ruth was in the audience and after the talk, Carrie was arrested for using a hatchet to break the window of a pharmacy that was selling alcohol illegally Stout was not; she had to go to Sunday school

Straw works as an in-place compost and mulch to keep the warmth and moisture in the rich soil. I used her trick to mulch the cilantro in my raised bed and – miraculously – it is flourishing happily, even after some nights with freezing temperatures. I thought cilantro would give up the ghost in cold weather, but I guess not.

How Joe Tippens Beat Terminal Cancer with $7 Dog Medicine

Scientific study from researchers in India:
https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-018-30158-6.pdf

I think it’s worth considering. Toxicology tests were run on humans several years ago. Can’t go wrong by evicting parasites from the body.

I used to know an M.D. , head of the Oncology Department at a major university, who did cancer research and he was hot on the trail for rediscovering Laetrile, but when I told him his research was retracing the footsteps of the Drs. Krebs of Germany, he said the AMA would destroy him – and he promptly changed specialties to Geriatrics. Cancer is big business and big business doesn’t want a cure. See the article from CNBC, “Goldman Sachs asks in biotech research report: ‘Is curing patients a sustainable business model?'” – on Joe’s blog. So much corruption; so little time.

The Importance of Sleep

Ancient Chinese medicine treats sleep as the best medicine to heal, restore, and rejuvenate one’s body and mind. How well one sleeps at night determines how well one functions during the day, and probably how long we live.

From a Chinese medicine perspective, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.—the eight hours that people are supposed to sleep—one’s vital energy and blood concentrates in the important organs in order to replenish them after they have worked hard during the day.

For example, from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m., the three chambers of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis—known as the “triple burner” in Chinese medicine for their important metabolic functions—receive most of the vital energy and blood to support all the organs in the three chambers. The triple burner is responsible for the respiration of air, the transformation of food to energy, the distribution of the energy into all important internal organs, and the elimination of the waste from the body…

This is one reason water fluoridation is so very bad for you.   It interferes with the secretion of melatonin by the pineal gland.  http://thoughtcrimeradio.net/2018/06/water-fluoridation-increases-suggestibility/

Beware toxic plastic offgassing

Have you noticed that nauseating “perfume” smell coming from new trash bags and other plastic items like gardening ground cloth these days? You might think that it just smells bad, but it’s probably toxic as well. You might also think that it’s just a misguided marketing gimmick, but it may actually fulfill a purpose. Think big.

Reproductive sterility and other symptoms of endocrine disruption are already epidemic in this country, and this is certainly one of the reasons for it. Draw your own conclusions.

Is that Smelly Plastic from China Toxic?

Ever wonder why some plastic goods made in China have that awful smell? This is especially the case with many rubberized plastics.

Research and testing is increasingly illustrating that these materials may not just smell bad. They may also be outgassing potent toxins and carcinogens. Continue reading Beware toxic plastic offgassing
