This video is about a little girl whose entire family died in a few minutes of time after going down into the cellar – one after the other – to collect potatoes for dinner. The potatoes had gone green and toxic fumes had accumulated.
Keep your potatoes in a cool, dark place. And if in doubt, throw them out. Cut them open if you suspect they are green. If you throw them into the garden, they might grow a healthy crop of new potatoes in a few months. Don’t toy around with rotten potatoes, no matter how “rare” food might ever become.
