In the fourth episode of his monthly show Tales from the Russian Intelligence, Professor Filip Kovacevic discusses a new book written by Leonid Ivashov, one of the best-known geopolitical commentators in Russia. Ivashov is a former four-star general of the Soviet and Russian military and has filled high-level positions in the Russian military command. At this time, he is the president of the Russian Academy for the Study of Geopolitical Problems. Ivashov is the author of several books, including his autobiography entitled “I am proud to be a Russian general” and a book on the last Soviet defense minister, marshal Dmitry Yazov and the abortive putsch against the Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev in August 1991.
In this episode, Professor Kovacevic zeroes in on Ivashov’s latest and most mysterious and controversial book entitled “The Inverted World: The Secrets of the Past and the Enigmas of the Present” and subtitled “What is Hidden in the Secret Archives of the Soviet Ministry of Internal Affairs (NKVD), the [Nazi secret society] Ahnenerbe, and the Supreme Command of the Wehrmacht.” This book was published in early 2017 and is unknown in the English language media. This is the first time the book is being discussed in English. Do not miss this exclusive edition of Tales from the Russian Intelligence!
In his 1974 book, Obedience to Authority: An Experimental View, Yale University psychologist Stanley Milgram discusses in detail the findings of his now famous experiment. Milgram demonstrated just how easy it is to convince an ordinary person to commit torture and murder under the instruction of an authority figure.
Intrigued by the role of Nazi military personnel in concentration camps during WWII, Milgram wanted to know how much coercion people needed in order to willingly inflict harm on another person.
He asked volunteers to deliver an electric shock to a stranger. Unbeknownst to the volunteers, there was no shock—and the people they were shocking were actors pretending to be terribly hurt, even feigning heart attacks. Milgram found that most people would keep delivering the shocks when ordered by a person in a lab coat, even when they believed that person was gravely injured. Only a tiny percentage of people refused. [Source]
The suggested conclusion is that people are inherently unable to think for themselves when given a subordinate role in some authoritarian hierarchy, such as the role of the ordinary citizen in a State-controlled world. A documentary of this experiment can be seen here.
The Milgram study was controversial in that some felt the results were skewed in favor of a predetermined bias. In the fifty-plus years since the experiment, there have been no other major research studies to confirm Milgram’s findings. Nevertheless, the presumption that normal people will go as far as to commit murder if they are relieved of responsibility by an authority figure feels inherently truthful in a world of so many organized atrocities.
The question is:
Can we be manipulated through social pressure to commit murder? ~Derren Brown
It’s an important question at a time when the converging technologies of AI and social media are affecting individual and group psychology in not yet understood ways. British illusionist Derren Brown recently conducted a similar experiment, this time in a feature documentary for Netflix entitled, The Push.
“This show is about how readily we hand over authorship of our lives, everyday, and the dangers of losing that control,” says Brown, who organized the reality TV-like experiment in which ordinary people were duped into doing things most of us would never even consider.
At the heart of the experiment lies the powerful effects of social pressure and social compliance, along with the individual’s inherent need to belong and fit into society. It also questions the nature of individuality, while demonstrating that many of us simply don’t have the courage to assert our own moral courage when faced with even a slight amount of authoritarian pressure.
The Push begins with a phony police officer calling a cafe worker on the phone and in a quick minute, without even a face-to-face interaction, convinces this person to steal a woman’s baby. Interestingly, the worker carries out the abduction even while expressing significant hesitance.
The main experiment picks up from there, involving unwitting subjects who are gradually convinced of the need to push another person off of a high-rise building. It’s an elaborate setup, which builds upon one small act of compliance after another until the subject is put into a situation where they are encouraged to kill a man they just met.
It’s a rather theatrical and unscientific presentation, but the results are noteworthy as three out of four participants actually shove an actor off of a building, believing they are committing murder, after being pressured into it by a small group of others. It’s a shocking act of compliance and subservience to the pressures of a peer group and a persistent authority figure.
What we don’t know about society today, though, is just how many people are this extremely socially compliant, capable of doing anything to appease the directives of others. As Brown notes, “the more socially compliant a person is, the more likely they are to look to others for signs on how to behave. And the more people, the greater the pressure to join in.”
After trying to expose a group of high-level government pedophiles, a victim’s father was murdered, the victim kidnapped by the state, and the family persecuted by government officials.
A teenage refugee from Lithuania has come forward with a White House petition and a damning testimony showing what happened after his family tried to expose a little girl’s abusers. When his four-year-old cousin accused two high-level government officials—describing it in heartbreaking detail—Korolis Venckienė learned the hard way how the government protects its vilest members, up to and including using hundreds of militarized police and even murder.
As Venckienė explains in his petition on WhiteHouse.gov, this nightmare started when their family attempted to seek justice for the sick men who allegedly raped his four-year-old cousin.
“In 2008, 4-year-old Deimante Kedyte described her sexual assault by high-level Lithuanian officials. Her testimony was later verified as true by 4 separate commissions. She never had her day in court,” Venckienė wrote.
When the teen’s uncle, Drasius Kedys, Deimante’s father pushed for the men to be prosecuted for what they did to his daughter, he was murdered.
“Her father pursued justice, but was murdered in 2010,” Venckienė said.
According to reports, the girl’s father, Drasius Kedys was abducted and brought to a secret bunker from the old Soviet Union where he was brutally tortured, fingernails were torn out, and his bones were smashed and partially cut off. Finally, the torturers tied him into a straightjacket and drowned him in a nearby storage lake.
In spite of all the evidence showing horrifying violence enacted against Kedys, the “official” government verdict was that he drowned in a puddle.
After Kedys was murdered, Neringa Venckienė, Karolis’ mother, and the little girl’s aunt, was given custody of Deimante as it was the little girl’s mother who allowed her elite political friends to have their way with her daughter.
Neringa Venckienė is a former Lithuanian judge and Parliament member who was brutally persecuted by the government after she attempted to expose this corruption.
After they silenced the father, the government set their eyes on the little girl who could also expose them.
“Deimante’s aunt, Neringa Venckiene, was awarded custody of the girl and provided a loving home,” reads the petition. However, “when Neringa started The Way of Courage Party to fight corruption in Lithuania, she, her family, and supporters were persecuted by the government. In May of 2012, a terrified Deimante was abducted from Neringa’s home by 240 government agents.”
The horrifying raid was recorded on video as hundreds of special forces police officers raided a family’s home to kidnap a little girl for accusing high-level government officials of raping her….
Good luck with this project in the elite pedophilia capitol of the world:
The same congressman who warned in late 2017 that the United States government was waiting for the next mass shooting in order to pass sweeping gun control measures, is now claiming that those measures could be passed in the next week, but they will be slipped into a larger bill.
Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie warned that while members of Congress have suggested raising the legal age to buy guns or banning certain firearms, the real legislation is much worse, and it could be passed as early as next week.
“We’ve got about a week to act,” Massie said in a video he shared on social media. “I want to let you know what’s going on in Congress as far as gun control goes. You’ve heard a lot of ideas floating in the news—raising the legal age to buy a long gun, for instance—or a new assault weapons ban. Any number of bad things have been mentioned. But I wanted to boil it down for you.”
Massie referenced comments he made in December, when he warned of the provisions included in H.R. 38, the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, which states that its purpose was to amend “the federal criminal code to allow a qualified individual to carry a concealed handgun into or possess a concealed handgun in another state that allows individuals to carry concealed firearms.”
Packaged with that bill was H.R. 4477, the Fix NICS Act, which would amend the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act to “require each federal agency and department, including a federal court, to certify whether it has provided to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) disqualifying records of persons prohibited from receiving or possessing a firearm.”
Massie noted that the Senate is proposing an almost identical version of the Fix NICS Act, which has been cosponsored by Senators Dianne Feinstein and Chuck Schumer—both extreme gun control advocates. It will allocate $625 million to expand the national background check database and will advance former President Obama’s goal to pressure other government agencies into increasing the number of names in the NICS database that are banned from gun purchases.
“What you don’t know, and what virtually no one in Washington wants you to know, is that House leadership plans to merge the Fix NICS bill with popular Concealed Carry Reciprocity legislation, HR 38, and pass both of them with a single vote,” Massie said in December.
While it may seem like they are on opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to the Second Amendment, it appears that both Democrats and Republicans are working together to advance this legislation. The Fix NICS Act was originally introduced on Nov. 16, 2017, as H.R. 4434 and it was sponsored by Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar. Then on Nov. 29, 2017, an identical version of the bill with language added to commission a bump-stock study was introduced as H.R. 4477 and it was sponsored by Republican Rep. John Abney Culberson.
Massie noted that while there are a number of glaring problems with the Fix NICS Act, one of the most alarming is that “it compels administrative agencies, not just courts, to adjudicate your second amendment rights.”
“The bill encourages administrative agencies, not the courts, to submit more names to a national database that will determine whether you can or can’t obtain a firearm. When President Obama couldn’t get Congress to pass gun control, he implemented a strategy of compelling, through administrative rules, the Veterans Administration and the Social Security Administration to submit lists of veterans and seniors, many of whom never had a day in court, to be included in the NICS database of people prohibited from owning a firearm. Only a state court, a federal (article III) court, or a military court, should ever be able to suspend your rights for any significant period of time.”
Congress is now attempting to pass the Fix NICS Act by including it in H.R. 4909, the STOP School Violence Act, which it plans to pass next week. Massie warned that the constituents who call their representatives and express support for “stopping school violence,” will unknowingly offer their support for a bill that could allow unqualified government agencies to take away the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens.
In a Daily Caller op-ed calling the Russian meddling narrative a “false public manipulation,” Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska claims that Daniel Jones – a former FBI investigator, Feinstein staffer and now a Fusion GPS operative – told the Russian Oligarch’s lawyer in March, 2017 that Fusion GPS was funded by “a group of Silicon Valley billionaires and George Soros.”
Of note, Deripaska’s lawyer, D.C. lobbyist Adam Waldman, recommended Jones to investigate and verify the claims from the Fusion GPS anti-Trump dossier assembled by former UK spy Christopher Steele. Waldman was also an intermediary between Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) and Steele in trying to arrange a meeting – which suggests that Waldman, Jones, Steele and Fusion GPS are all connected.
Deripaska describes the ongoing “Russia narrative” as nothing more than a scandal manufactured by the deep state. “Wagging the dog costs money,” writes Deripaska. “So, who is the “funding mechanism” of this “shadowy government?”” Why, none other than billionaire financier George Soros, according to Daniel Jones – as relayed to Congressional investigators by Deripaska’s attorney Adam Waldman…
How is it possible no one is talking about “sorosgate” wrt US political meddling?
March 07, 2018 “Information Clearing House” – Ever since Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 US presidential election, the Democratic Party establishment has held tightly to the belief that her shock defeat was not the result of her and their shortcomings, but rather due to a nefarious Russian plot to “hack” the election in “collusion” with the winner.
Instead of examining why Donald Trump was able to connect with voters in economically distressed parts of the country in a way that Democrats failed to do, adherents of the Russiagate narrative hoped that investigations would quickly find a smoking gun, leading to Trump’s impeachment and undoing an election result they consider aberrant and unjust.
On Friday, I spoke at a conference in Washington, DC, titled The Israel Lobby and American Policy, sponsored by The Washington Report on Middle East Affairs and IRmep, a group that researches the lobby’s influence.
As I note in my talk, a handful of journalists – especially Max Blumenthal and Aaron Maté of The Real News – have consistently debunked the wild, exaggerated and sometimes fabricated claims of Russian interference made by members of the self-styled but woefully ineffectual “Resistance” to Trump…..
