DC Society Maven Comes Out as Occultist, Used Hexes to Kill

You and I, meaning Normal People, we look at our Thought Leaders, our Media and Cultural Overlords, our Ruling Class, and oftentimes wonder how they can be so venal and dishonest in pursuit of what they want — and what they want most of all is control over the lives of us Normal People, those of us who do not want to control anyone. We just want to be left alone.

How many times have we asked, How do they live with themselves? All the lies they tell, the innocent people they destroy, the fake news they publish, the character assassination, the stoking of racial conflict, the hate campaigns, the advocating of violence, the unending cultural bigotry against those of us just minding our own business… How do they sleep at night?

Maybe, thanks to the dribs and drabs that have bubbled up over the past year, we are starting to have that question answered. The latest revelation surrounds Sally Quinn, the surviving widow of Ben Bradlee, the Washington Post’s powerful executive editor from 1968 to 1991, who then served as the paper’s vice president until his death in 2014.

For nearly 50 years, the entire social and political world of DC revolved around this couple. Bradlee and Quinn were the New Camelot (his career took off in large part because of his friendship with John F. Kennedy), the Gatekeepers of who was in and who was out, the Elite Deciders among our Ruling Class with the extraordinary power of the Washington Post, and by extension the rest of the mainstream media, to abuse and weaponize their will against the rest of us.

Well, to put it as bluntly as possible, we are now learning that the Queen of Camelot is an occultist, a witch of sorts who honestly believes (according to her own new memoir) that she murdered three innocent people through the dark art of the hex: a young woman who committed suicide after flirting with Quinn’s boyfriend; a magazine editor who published an unflattering profile of her, who decades later died of cancer; a psychic who died of a cerebral hemorrhage before the end of the year after telling Quinn something she did not want to hear…

“She outs herself as a believer in the occult and as an erstwhile practitioner of voodoo … [and t]he book is awash in tales of Quinn’s occult prowess—she wants people to take this seriously, or at least to believe she takes this seriously. At the very least, she scared herself so badly when her third curse hit its mark—prompting a panic that her previous hexes had been karmically responsible for her son’s illness—that she vowed never to dabble in the dark arts again.”

Quinn’s other acts of admitted wickedness include plotting to break up Bradlee’s marriage (which she did) and using the threat of adultery to bend Bradlee to her will.

Almost as troubling is the matter-of-fact way in which the Washington Post informs us of this bombshell, in the Outlook section under the chatty headline, “Sally Quinn’s hexes, marital ultimatums and visceral love of her son.” The story is written by Connie Schultz and her criticism of Quinn is primarily limited to this:

“Had Sally Quinn stayed true to the promise of her book’s whimsical title, “Finding Magic: A Spiritual Memoir,” she might have led readers on a journey of self-exploration as she shared her stories of hope and the many faces of faith in the aftermath of despair.”

What in God’s name is going on here?

We have just discovered that one of the primary movers and shakers of the last half-century is a practicing occultist, and…

See www.KerthBarker.com for more insight into “What is going on here?” Don’t be an ostrich. Pizzagate, pedophilia, cannibalism, the occult, witchcraft, satanism, luciferianism is alive and well in the highest eschelons of society, in NY, DC and Hollywood (for starters)… It’s a much more complicated world than we were led to believe. It appears that “drain the swamp” might mean something like “cast out demons”?

Nairn: Murder as US Policy

Don’t think for a minute that this stuff isn’t happening in the present day just because this dates back to the mid-90’s. Twenty years from now we’ll be reading about what’s going on in the present day. That is if we ourselves haven’t joined the peasants of guatemala.

The US media’s silence on washington’s decades-long institutionalization of mass murder and torture is treasonous, not least because of what such policies imply about our future domestic situation when/if the economy goes to hell.

There are no “liberals” in the american media establishment.  They are all fascists and worse.

Murder As Policy
by Allan Nairn
The Nation magazine, April 24, 1995

In Washington the spin on the disclosure that the U.S. government has been helping to run death squad operations in Guatemala has been that the crimes have not been policy but rather the work of C.I.A. rogues. The State Department, for example, has tried to say–with generous help from the press–that it has been an innocent bystander to forty years of army slaughter.

One former Ambassador to Guatemala, Thomas Stroock (1989=- 1992), was recently painted by The New York Times as having tried to rein in an out-of-control C.I.A. In fact, his real role, as has been that of all U.S. ambassadors since 1954, was to cover for and, in many ways, facilitate American support for a killer army. Stroock, characterized by the Times as “a broad-shouldered affable oil man from Wyoming [who] found himself staring into the heart of darkness,” was actually the on- the-scene supervisor of a broad, multi-agency program of support for the Guatemalan military.

An example of the State Department’s work in behalf of this U.S. policy was Stroock’s attempt to intimidate one of the army’s victims, an American citizen. On January 29, 1990, Stroock tried to discourage Sister Dianna Ortiz, who had been gang-raped and tortured, from discussing possible U.S. involvement in her abduction with a chilling, three-page single-spaced letter to her lawyer in which, among many other things, he accused the Ursuline nun of “an offense against the Eighth Commandment” (“Thou shalt not steal”; the affable Ambassa- dor probably meant the Ninth: “Thou shalt not bear false witness”) because she had stated her belief that the chief of her tormentors was an American who seemed to be linked to the U.S. Embassy (she had escaped by leaping from his jeep as he was, he claimed, driving her to the embassy). Stroock wrote: “I find the insinuation that U.S. Govern- ment personnel in Guatemala are involved in any kind of human rights violations against anyone to be insulting, absurd, and ridiculous…a scurrilous smear on the good names of the fine Americans who serve their country in this Mission.” Ortiz’s allegation of U.S. involvement “raises the most serious questions about” her “credibility, sincerity, and motives.”

By that time, Stroock’s aide, Lewis Anselem, the State Depart- ment’s human rights chief at the embassy, was suggesting to foreign visitors that Sister Ortiz had not been abducted but had been wounded in a sadomasochistic lesbian tryst. This lie was publicly repeated by Gen. Hctor Gramajo Morales, then Minister of Defense and a paid asset of the C.I.A., whose men had, by all evidence, raped and tortured Ortiz.

As Ambassador, Stroock had routine access to the C.I.A.’s list of its assets in the Guatemalan Army, as well as knowledge–widely shared throughout the embassy–that the agency was engaged in “liaison” with the death squad coordinator, the G-2. (Reached in Guatemala on April 4, Stroock, now retired, declined to comment. Asked whether he had had access to the asset list, Stroock said “Good night, sir,” and hung up.) The C.I.A. “liaison” relationship with the G-2 has been, by standard procedure, sanctioned by the White House and State Department and was even discussed by senior embassy officials in spring 1990 back- ground press briefings. The New York Times and the Los Angeles Times, both citing “diplomats” and “diplomatic …sources,” reported that the United States was using the G-2 to promote “stability” in Guatemala (the L.A. paper even mentioned that the C.I.A. was paying the G-2).

During this period Washington, through its embassy, was sup- porting the Guatemalan Army in numerous ways:

Green Berets openly trained the Kaibil massacre force, the army’s self-proclaimed “Messengers of Death.”

Guatemalan officers made consultation and training trips to the Pentagon and U.S. military bases, where some (e.g., at the School of the Americas) were used as instructors for other Latin American countries’ troops (the S.O.A. even erected a plaque in honor of a notorious Guate- malan commander, Gen. Manuel Callejas).

The United States openly sold weapons to Guatemala with the support of Democrats in Congress, including 16,000 M-16s, some of which were used by the army in a December 1990 massacre in Santiago Atitl n.

Hundreds of U.S. troops (mostly from the National Guard) went to Guatemala to work with the general staff on “civic action” and roadbuilding in massacre zones.

Most important, Washington’s actions send a constant message of political support to the Guatemalan military, even when the State Department is hypocritically criticizing crimes secretly committed by unacknowledged U.S. employees.

All these forms of support have continued even after U.S. military aid to Guatemala was ostensibly cut off in December 1990, under Bush and Clinton, with only a few pragmatic, subtle alterations. The Kaibil training, for example, has been shifted underground; the consultation/training trips continue but in the guise of teaching “democ- racy.” (This past September 8, Maj. Mario Sosa Orellana, one of the officers implicated by 1993 eyewitness testimony to the Organization of American States in the torture and murder of guerrilla leader–and husband of Jennifer Harbury–Efra!n B maca Vel squez, was brought to Washington by the U.S. Information Agency with thirty-two other officers for Pentagon seminars on “Civilian-Military Relations in a Democratic Society.”) Pistol and rifle sales continue to be licensed by the Clinton State Department, in apparent violation of a written agree- ment with Congress requiring that the appropriations committees be notified.

Indeed, there have been further displays of support. Last October Guatemalan troops were sent to Puerto Rico for Green Beret “peace- keeping” training. Subsequently, a Guatemalan force overseen by a G-2 man, Maj. Jos Fernando Paiz Prem, was deployed by the United States to Cap Haitien, Haiti. Last December, despite an increase in assassina- tions and disappearances in Guatemala and Jennifer Harbury’s coura- geous hunger strikes outside the Palace and the Politcnica, Anthony Lake, Clinton’s National Security Adviser, decided–in consultation with the State Department and the Pentagon–to post U.S. troops to Guatema- la again this springa. They are still there.

Empire Fraying at the Edges: Turkey Pivots From NATO, Signs Russia Missile Deal

Confirming, and sending the clearest sign of his previously discussed pivot toward Russia and away from NATO and the West, on Tuesday President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that Turkey had signed a deal to purchase a Russian surface-to-air missile system, and paid the first installment. The deal cements Turkey’s recent rapprochement with Russia, despite differences over the war in Syria, the downing of a Russian fighter jet over Turkey in late 2015 and the assassination of a Russian ambassador earlier this year, and comes as Turkey’s ties with the United States and European Union have become strained to the point of breaking. …

Hillary’s Bizarre Interpretation of Orwell’s “1984”

Since the official release of Hillary’s new book “What Happened” yesterday, our sense of logic and rational thought has been under constant assault by a steady stream of ‘Hillary-isms’ which provide some rather dark insights into the bizarro world in which she lives.

That said, we’ve seen nothing that tops the following excerpt in which Hillary offers up her expert opinion on the key life lesson that should be learned from “1984”, namely that we should trust and rely on “our leaders, the press, and experts who seek to guide public policy.”

“Attempted to define reality is a core feature of authoritarianism.  This is what the Soviets did when they erased political dissidents from historical photos.  This is what happens in George Orwell’s classic novel “Nineteen Eighty-Four,” when a torturer holds up four fingers and delivers electric shocks until his prisoner see five fingers as ordered.  The goal is to make you question logic and reason and to sow mistrust toward exactly the people we need to rely on: our leaders, the press, experts who seek to guide public policy based on evidence, ourselves.”

Sorry, Hillary…but we’re pretty sure that the key takeway from ‘1984’ was not that we should all trust the government and media just a little more…

We’ve been saying this a lot lately but we find it helpful to clarify in instances such as this…yes, this is real life.

The irony here is that the democratic party and the mainstream media, both entities that Hillary suggests should have your utmost trust and respect, have been on a mission to “sow mistrust” for over a year now with their perpetual ‘Russian collusion’ narrative…a narrative for which no actual evidence has been presented.

Of course, after reading that passage above, one can only come to one of two conclusions: i) Hillary has never read 1984 (best case) or ii) Hillary’s powers of self-delusion are far greater than anyone ever imagined (worst case).

Well heck, I thought it was downright anarchistic that she included “ourselves” in that passage.   I mean, do we even have an existence apart from our authority figures?   I think she’s going out on a limb here.

Pentagon Caught Shipping More Weaponry to ISIS in Syria

A new bombshell joint report issued by two international weapons monitoring groups Tuesday confirms that the Pentagon continues to ship record breaking amounts of weaponry into Syria and that the Department of Defense is scrubbing its own paper trail. On Tuesday the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) and the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN) produced conclusive evidence that not only is the Pentagon currently involved in shipping up to $2.2 billion worth of weapons from a shady network of private dealers to allied partners in Syria – mostly old Soviet weaponry – but is actually manipulating paperwork such as end-user certificates, presumably in order to hide US involvement.

The OCCRP and BIRN published internal US defense procurement files after an extensive investigation which found that the Pentagon is running a massive weapons trafficking pipeline which originates in the Balkans and Caucuses, and ends in Syria and Iraq. The program is ostensibly part of the US train, equip, and assist campaign for the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF, a coalition of YPG/J and Arab FSA groups operating primarily in Syria’s east). The arms transfers are massive and the program looks to continue for years. According to Foreign Policy’s (FP) coverage of the report:

The Department of Defense has budgeted $584 million specifically for this Syrian operation for the financial years 2017 and 2018, and has earmarked another $900 million of spending on Soviet-style munitions between now and 2022. The total, $2.2 billion, likely understates the flow of weapons to Syrian rebels in the coming years.

But perhaps more shocking is the following admission that Pentagon suppliers have links with known criminal networks, also from FP:

According to the report, many of the weapons suppliers — primarily in Eastern Europe but also in the former Soviet republics, including Kazakhstan, Georgia, and Ukraine — have both links to organized crime throughout Eastern Europe and spotty business records.

The sheer amount of material necessary for the Pentagon program — one ammunition factory announced it planned to hire 1,000 new employees in 2016 to help cope with the demand — has reportedly stretched suppliers to the limit, forcing the Defense Department to relax standards on the materials it’s willing to accept.

It is likely that the organized crime association is the reason why the Pentagon has sought to alter its records. In addition, the sheer volume of weaponry continuing to ship to the Syrian battlefield and other parts of the Middle East means inevitable proliferation among unsavory terror groups – a phenomenon which has already been exhaustively documented in connection with the now reportedly closed CIA program to topple the Syrian government. The associations and alliances among some of the Arab former FSA groups the DoD continues to support in the north and east remains fluid, which means means US-supplied weapons will continue to pass among groups with no accountability for where they end up.

One of the authors of the OCCRP/BIRN report, Ivan Angelovski, told Foreign Policy that, “The Pentagon is removing any evidence in their procurement records that weapons are actually going to the Syrian opposition.” The report is based on internal US government memos which reveal that weapons shipment destination locations have been scrubbed from original documents.  …
