Toxic Dangers of Baby Teething Toys

What is this, the klingon empire?

When it comes to child safety, parents tend to pull out all the stops … or maybe parents are the ones actually putting in all the stops. Regardless, a recent study about baby teething toys, or chew toys, which are not regulated in the same category as baby bottles, has shown that “BPA-free” may not actually really mean BPA-free. The study showed that not only did toys labeled as “non-toxic” contain toxic chemicals, but a majority of toys labeled as “BPA-free” actually contained BPA.

The study was designed to look at whether baby teething toys contained EDCs (endocrine disruptor chemicals), BPA, and other toxic chemicals. EDCs are harmful chemicals that can affect a person’s development in many ways. Because all the harmful links between BPA, EDCs, and other toxins remain unknown, some researchers suggest avoiding as many as possible.

Chew on What?

In 2012, the FDA banned BPA from baby bottles and children’s drinking cups. However, teethers were not included in the ban. This meant that while many companies voluntarily claimed to remove BPA from their products, there was no mandate to investigate these products for BPA. Which leads to perhaps the most shocking result from the study: a high percentage of teethers that were used in the study were mislabeled as non-toxic or BPA-free or both.

Fortunately, as the researchers found, the levels of BPA that the teethers gave off were, assuming normal teether usage, generally within what is considered safe. More protective parents, or weary researchers, are likely to disagree with what is considered safe….

A report released recently by a committee of the National Research Council finds that government risk assessment methods likely underestimate the effects of phthalates, a group of hormone-mimicking compounds widely used in consumer products. Responding to a request from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the committee examined the agency’s current approach to assessing health risks of this large family of chemicals. The report concludes that the agency could underestimate phthalate risk if it doesn’t consider the effects of combined exposure to different compounds, which can cause more serious or different toxic effects together than they would have caused individually. In other words, the sum could be worse than its parts.

Though unrelated, the report comes in the wake of the newly passed Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act, which bans from certain children’s products three types of phthalates permanently and places a temporary ban on three others pending the results of a risk assessment by an expert panel. “Consumers can be exposed to many different phthalate compounds, so we hope this new panel will follow the report’s recommendations and assess the cumulative effects of these compounds‚” says Carolyn Cairns, Program Leader for Product Safety at Consumer Reports.

Because they can upset the delicate balance of hormones, phthalate exposure during key periods of fetal development has been linked, mostly in animal studies, to a host of problems in the developing fetus. The male reproductive system is particularly at risk since phthalates interfere with androgens—male hormones like testosterone—causing defects in the position of the urethra (hypospadias is the scientific term), testicular development and fertility. Some phthalates have also been linked to liver cancer. …

Trump’s Cabinet: A Military Junta is Now Ruling the United States

… Inside the White House, meanwhile, generals manage Trump’s hour-by-hour interactions and whisper in his ear — and those whispers, as with the decision this week to expand U.S. military operations in Afghanistan, often become policy. At the core of Trump’s circle is a seasoned trio of generals with experience as battlefield commanders: White House Chief of Staff John F. Kelly, Defense Secretary Jim Mattis and national security adviser H.R. McMaster. The three men have carefully cultivated personal relationships with the president and gained his trust.

Kelly, Mattis and McMaster are not the only military figures serving at high levels in the Trump administration. CIA Director Mike Pompeo, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Energy Secretary Rick Perry and Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke each served in various branches of the military, and Trump recently tapped former Army general Mark S. Inch to lead the Federal Bureau of Prisons. […] the National Security Council [..] counts two other generals on the senior staff.

With the firing of the renegade Flynn and various other Trump advisors, the Junta has already removed all independent voices in the White House. It is now  attaching more control wires to its “salesperson” marionette:

The new system, laid out in two memos co-authored by [General] Kelly and Porter and distributed to Cabinet members and White House staffers in recent days, is designed to ensure that the president won’t see any external policy documents, internal policy memos, agency reports, and even news articles that haven’t been vetted. …

Washington Is Behind India’s Brutal Demonetization Project

A test run in preparation for the USA itself.   But we don’t have to take it lying down.  See:

A Financial genocide, if there was ever one. Death by demonetization, probably killing hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people, through famine, disease, even desperation and suicide – because most of India’s money was declared invalid. The official weak reason for this purposefully manufactured human disaster is fighting counterfeiting. What a flagrant lie! The real cause is of course – you guessed it – an order from Washington.

On 8 November, Narendra Modi, the Indian Prime Minister, brutally declared all 500 (US$ 7) and 1,000 rupee-notes invalid, unless exchanged or deposited in a bank or post office account until 31 December 2016. After this date, all unexchanged ‘old’ money is invalid – lost. Barely half of Indians have bank accounts.

The final goal is speedy global demonetization. India is a test case – a huge one, covering 1.3 billion people. If it works in India, it works throughout the developing world. That’s the evil thought behind it. “Tests” are already running in Europe.

The Nordic countries, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, are moving rapidly towards cashless societies. Electronic money, instead of cash, allows the hegemon to control the entire western world, all those who are enslaved to the dollar monetary system. Meaning literally everybody outside the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) that includes, China, Russia, most of Central Asia, Iran, Pakistan and – yes, India is an apparent candidate to join the SCO alliance.

There was no limit set in rupee amounts that were allowed to be deposited in bank or postal accounts. But exchanges or withdrawals were limited the first two days to 2,000 rupees, later to 4,000 rupees, with promises to further increases ‘later on’. The restrictions have to do with limited new bank notes available. The new money is issued in denominations of 500 and 2,000 rupee-notes.

On 9 November, none of the country’s ATM machines were functioning. Withdrawing money was possible only from banks. Queues behind bank counters were endless – lasting hours and in some cases days. Often times, once at the teller, the bank was out of cash. Imagine the millions, perhaps billions of labor hours – production time and wages – lost – lost mostly by the poor.

The banned bank notes constitute about 85% in value of all cash in circulation. India is a cash society. About 97% of all transactions are carried out in cash. Only slightly more than half the Indian population has bank accounts; and only about half of them have been used in the last three months. Credit or debit cards are extremely scarce – basically limited to the ‘creditworthy’ elite.

In rural areas, where most of the poor live, banks are scarce or none existent. The poor and poorest of the poor, again – as usual – are those who suffer most. Hundreds of thousands of them have lost almost all they have and will be unable to fend for their families, buying food and medication….

In early November, without warning, the Indian government declared the two largest denomination bills invalid, abolishing over 80 percent of circulating cash by value. Amidst all the commotion and outrage this caused, nobody seems to have taken note of the decisive role that Washington played in this. That is surprising, as Washington’s role has been disguised only very superficially.

US-President Barack Obama has declared the strategic partnership with India a priority of his foreign policy. China needs to be reined in. In the context of this partnership, the US government’s development agency USAID has negotiated cooperation agreements with the Indian ministry of finance. One of these has the declared goal to push back the use of cash in favor of digital payments in India and globally.

On November 8, Indian prime minster Narendra Modi announced that the two largest denominations of banknotes could not be used for payments any more with almost immediate effect. Owners could only recoup their value by putting them into a bank account before the short grace period expired. The amount of cash that banks were allowed to pay out to individual customers was severely restricted. Almost half of Indians have no bank account and many do not even have a bank nearby. The economy is largely cash based. Thus, a severe shortage of cash ensued. Those who suffered the most were the poorest and most vulnerable. They had additional difficulty earning their meager living in the informal sector or paying for essential goods and services like food, medicine or hospitals. Chaos and fraud reigned well into December.

Four weeks earlier

Not even four weeks before this assault on Indians, USAID had announced the establishment of „Catalyst: Inclusive Cashless Payment Partnership“, with the goal of effecting a quantum leap in cashless payment in India. The press statement of October 14 says that Catalyst “marks the next phase of partnership between USAID and Ministry of Finance to facilitate universal financial inclusion”. The statement does not show up in the list of press statements on the website of USAID (anymore?). Not even filtering statements with the word “India” would bring it up. To find it, you seem to have to know it exists, or stumble upon it in a web search. Indeed, this and other statements, which seemed rather boring before, have become a lot more interesting and revealing after November 8.

Reading the statements with hindsight it becomes obvious, that Catalyst and the partnership of USAID and the Indian Ministry of Finance, from which Catalyst originated, are little more than fronts which were used to be able to prepare the assault on all Indians using cash without arousing undue suspicion. Even the name Catalyst sounds a lot more ominous, once you know what happened on November 9.

Catalyst’s Director of Project Incubation is Alok Gupta, who used to be Chief Operating Officer of the World Resources Institute in Washington, which has USAID as one of its main sponsors. He was also an original member of the team that developed Aadhaar, the Big-Brother-like biometric identification system.

According to a report of the Indian Economic Times, USAID has committed to finance Catalyst for three years. Amounts are kept secret.

Badal Malick was Vice President of India’s most important online marketplace Snapdeal, before he was appointed as CEO of Catalyst. He commented:

Catalyst’s mission is to solve multiple coordination problems that have blocked the penetration of digital payments among merchants and low-income consumers. We look forward to creating a sustainable and replicable model. (…) While there has been (…) a concerted push for digital payments by the government, there is still a last mile gap when it comes to merchant acceptance and coordination issues. We want to bring a holistic ecosystem approach to these problems.

Ten months earlier

The multiple coordination problem and the cash-ecosystem-issue that Malick mentions had been analysed in a report that USAID commissioned in 2015 and presented in January 2016, in the context of the anti-cash partnership with the Indian Ministry of Finance. The press release on this presentation is also not in USAID’s list of press statements (anymore?). The title of the study was “Beyond Cash”.

“Merchants, like consumers, are trapped in cash ecosystems, which inhibits their interest” in digital payment it said in the report. Since few traders accept digital payments, few consumers have an interest in it, and since few consumers use digital payments, few traders have an interest in it. Given that banks and payment providers charge fees for equipment to use or even just try out digital payment, a strong external impulse is needed to achieve a level of card penetration that would create mutual interest of both sides in digital payment options.

It turned out in November that the declared “holistic ecosystem approach” to create this impulse consisted in destroying the cash-ecosystem for a limited time and to slowly dry it up later, by limiting the availability of cash from banks for individual customers. Since the assault had to be a surprise to achieve its full catalyst-results, the published Beyond-Cash-Study and the protagonists of Catalyst could not openly describe their plans. They used a clever trick to disguise them and still be able to openly do the necessary preparations, even including expert hearings. They consistently talked of a regional field experiment that they were ostensibly planning. …

Corporatocracy Pushing for Complete Dependence on Corporate Government

Is anyone paying attention?   When corporations control the government, there is no difference between socialism and fascism.   Government is just another corporation with a slightly different business model. You can see this most clearly when you realize that the need for people to be on welfare at all is a predictable consequence of the wholesale theft going on at every level of government and government “regulated” finance.

Economic autonomy is the essential foundation of freedom, because dependency is eventually used as leverage to enforce slavery. It’s an inevitable consequence of the organic nature of spontaneous corruption in large socioeconomic systems.  That’s why the satanic hierarchy wages war on all forms of local economic activity from raw milk to lemonade stands.   The idea is economic and food centralization to maximize the “cut” at the top of the pyramid.   Limited and structurally “hobbled” government is the revolutionary genius of the american system.   Or it would be, if that system was in operation.

The same bankster/military/corporate government which has stolen its way into mass impoverishment of the people now hopes to complete its colonization of the public mind by posing as benefactor.   But all this will do is create armies of economically controlled foot soldiers who are used to enforce injustice under the cloak of legality.   What do you think has been happening in guatemala for decades?   When physical survival requires subservience to the system, it’s very easy to recruit death squads from the general population to enforce that very system.

Media now pushing claims that being unemployed is healthier than holding down a “stressful” job … all part of the push toward “basic monthly income” welfare

In recent years progressives have been pushing the concept of a “universal basic income” — that is, a monthly stipend from the government that would replace actual employment. The idea is that everyone would be taken care of, no one would go without, and income equality would finally be achieved.

What they never tell you, however, is that a basic income is just welfare by another name. Also, when you essentially pay people to do nothing, that’s exactly what society gets in return: Nothing. Like every other government (taxpayer) program, cradle-to-grave welfare breeds irresponsibility, saps initiative and drive, destroys any sense of self-worth and more importantly, permanently limits a person’s lifetime earning ability.

It also puts every single person under further control of the government: After all, if you literally depend on government for your livelihood, what’s to stop that government from imposing whatever tyrannical rule it wishes to impose? Anyone who resists will be cut off and left to fend for themselves, which will become increasingly harder to do. (Related: America has turned into a handout nation, record 236 million people collecting some form of assistance from the Government.)

And there is this: Who decides how much the “basic income” will be? What will be the criteria? Where will the money come from? …

Honduras authorities find torture cells, graves at U.S.-built base

August 12, 1999 Web posted at: 10:42 p.m. EDT (0242 GMT)

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras (AP) — A U.S.-built military base in Honduras
contains cramped metal cells apparently used to torture and kill political
prisoners, a top Honduran official said Thursday.

The cells — along with dozens of possible grave sites — were discovered
this week at El Aguacate air base in eastern Honduras, which the United
States built for Nicaraguan Contra rebels in the 1980s. Authorities had
announced the discovery of the first grave site containing unidentified
human remains earlier this month.

“In the middle of overgrown brush at El Aguacate, we found six sites with
tombs and metal cells where we believe the army tortured, killed and buried
its victims,” Sandra Ponce, Honduras’ attorney general for human rights,
told The Associated Press in a telephone interview from the base.

The freestanding cells, which Ponce said are big enough to hold two or
three people each, appear to further challenge claims by Honduran army
officials that “nothing is hidden” at the base, 80 miles (130 kms) east of
the capital, Tegucigalpa.

“We suspect there are more than 48 graves in the area, holding the remains
of an undetermined number of people buried there in the 1980s by the
military,” Ponce said.

Reporters will not be given access to the site until forensic experts from
the United States and Germany have examined it.

One of the apparent grave sites measures 500 yards (meters) in length, and
may hold victims of executions by the Contras, a rebel force the United
States created and trained to fight the leftist Sandinista government of
Nicaragua from across the border in Honduras in the 1980s.

But Ponce said her investigation is limited for now to the 184
disappearances attributed to the Honduran army, which include 105 Honduran
leftists, 39 Nicaraguans, 28 Salvadorans, five Costa Ricans, four
Guatemalans, an American, an Ecuadorian and a Venezuelan.

“Starting next week, we’ll dig there to look for more evidence,” Ponce
said. “In other areas of the base, it looks like dirt has been moved by the
army, possibly to destroy evidence.”

Among the graves could be the remains of American priest-turned-guerrilla
James Francis Carney, who disappeared in 1982, Human Rights Commissioner
Leo Valladares said. Authorities had announced the discovery of Carney’s
remains in May, but later said they had been mistaken.

Valladares has blamed the armed forces for operating a death squad trained
by military personnel from the United States, Taiwan, Nicaragua and Argentina.

El Aguacate air base was built by U.S. forces in 1983 and staffed by the
Contras and Honduran army troops.

In July, provincial military chief Col. Leonel Pavon denied reports of
clandestine graves at the base, saying “nothing is hidden in El Aguacate
… and any authority can prove what I say.”

The armed forces governed Honduras for almost 20 years after ousting three
civilian presidents in 1957, 1963 and 1972. They abandoned power in 1982,
although they still hold great influence in the country.

Last month, President Carlos Flores Facusse fired four top military
officials in an attempt to quell a power struggle in the military, but
emphatically denied media reports of an attempted coup.

Satanic Eugenical Medicine Blocks Laetrile While Pushing Toxic Cancer Treatments

New Film “Second Opinion” Exposes the Truth About a 40-Year Long Cover-Up of Laetrile Cancer Treatment

Story at-a-glance

  • A new documentary chronicles how a major cancer research center covered up positive studies about Laetrile in the 1970s, as told by insider Ralph Moss
  • New York’s Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center brushed positive Laetrile studies under the rug, bowing to politics and conflicts of interest
  • Laetrile, banned in the US since 1963, is made from amygdalin, a natural compound derived from the seeds of many fruits such as apricot pits
  • Sloan Kettering’s highly respected cancer scientist Kanematsu Sugiura found that Laetrile significantly reduced the spread of lung cancer in mice
  • Contemporary Laetrile studies support Dr. Kanematsu’s findings, but Sloan Kettering still refuses to acknowledge the truth about the cover-up

If you are old enough, you might recall a controversy in the early 1970s regarding the compound Laetrile, purported to prevent the spread of cancer. New York’s Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center was ground zero in that firestorm.

In the early 1970s, America’s war on cancer was in full force, and Sloan Kettering was regarded as one of the world’s leading cancer research centers.

But Sloan Kettering’s Board of Directors swept positive findings about Laetrile under the rug when it became unprofitable and publicly unpopular for them to support it.

Their Laetrile research was done under their own roof by one of the world’s most respected cancer researchers of the day—Dr. Kanematsu Sugiura. One person—and only one—has come forward with the truth about what turned out to be one of the most reprehensible cover-ups in the history of cancer research.

In 1974, young science writer Ralph Moss had just netted his first big-time job in Sloan Kettering’s public relations department, but he soon found himself smack dab in the middle of the Laetrile fiasco.

In July 1977, Moss was no longer willing to lie on behalf of his employer, so he exposed the truth about Sloan Kettering’s conduct at a highly publicized press conference. The next business day he was fired and swiftly escorted to the door by armed guards.

This story is personally recounted in a new documentary Second Opinion: Laetrile at Sloan Kettering,1,2 in which Moss reveals the full extent of the Laetrile cover-up, in its entirety, as an insider. He’s also written a book about it, called Doctored Results….
