Psychiatrist Kelly Brogan speaks out honestly and critically about the business of depression, psychiatry and pharmaceuticals, especially as applied to women, but this book is NOT JUST FOR DEPRESSED WOMEN. It’s for all of us. And it’s not just about depression; the principles apply to every dis-ease. This book contains important information for everyone.

Dr. Candace Pert, author of Molecules of Emotion (and discoverer of opiate receptors) was one of the first official scientific pioneers of this radical (and practical) body-mind approach. She has a wonderful sense of humor and aims it at “lamestream medicine” and the scientific community.

Listen in the video below when she says, “It’s all in the breathing.” Indeed it is. The word “spirit” means “breath” and it has long been said that, “Spirit is the healer.”Other Pert-isms: “The body is the unconscious mind” and “God is a neuropeptide,” or as it says in the bible, “God is Love.”

Unfortunately, Candace died suddenly in 2013 at the age of 67. Fortunately, you can watch videos on the internet, of her speaking.
