Be your own doctor

I’ve been “growned up” for a very long time… for half a century. Yet I am healthier now than when I was a child or a teen.  How did I accomplish that?  Well, once upon a time, I used books to research. Now I use the Internet. But the method remains the same.
.
What I have always done – for myself, friends, clients, family – is search for the physical complaint. I might look in the index of a book for a single word – or type into an Internet search engine something like “natural methods for reversing diabetes” or “how to heal cancer” or “what to do about a pimple” or “natural remedy for leg cramps” or “how to heal sunburn” … or whatever.
.
If certain vitamins, minerals or supplements are mentioned – magnesium for leg cramps, for instance, then I do a search for “food sources of magnesium”. When I see that magnesium occurs in abundance in dark green leafy vegetables, I go shopping and buy my favorite organic foods, high in magnesium. Then I make a big fat salad with massaged kale or baby greens, some sunflower or pumpkin seeds, avocado, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic and tahini dressing. Afterward, I make sure to include a huge green salad in my daily routine.

Digging deeper, I might also find that magnesium is even more readily absorbed through the skin. Then I let my fingers do the shopping and discover that I can pay a lot for a little bit of magnesium oil – or I can buy a lot of magnesium flakes for a little bit of money and add an equal part of water and make my own magnesium oil. Then I slather it on my legs and the cramps go away.
.
Doing my own research and changing my diet is a lot more fun than submitting my precious self to surgery or chemotherapy… and cheaper! Health is a lifestyle choice.

For the big picture, here are a few websites I admire. If you’d like to nominate others, send us a message through the Contact page (see tabs above) and we will add your suggestions. These people have done their research and report it in an easy-to-digest, full, fun, interesting manner…
