Regarding what he says about history, I know enough history to know that most of what I was taught about it was lies. My guess is that his “traditional knowledge”, probably passed down to him through his local culture, is probably closer to reality than any glossy textbook written by a corporate-foundation-endowed professor, at least in his neck of the woods. Education was taken over by the robber barons well before I was born. I think his judgements about current events and the role of the fascist establishment (TPP will enshrine fascism in law in this country) in fomenting racism and division is spot on. In any case, we’re all adults here so take what bits of wisdom you find and ignore the rest. Speaking of “adult”, turn down the speaker if there are kids in the room.
