If you’ve learned nothing else about economics in the past few months, at least recognize that austerity is a HOAX.  It does not reduce government deficits, it does the reverse due to reduced taxable economic activity.  Since it does not accomplish its stated purpose, the obvious inference is that there’s another agenda, that being the same agenda that produced greece’s economic collapse in the first place: the deliberate and orchestrated destruction of the economy in pursuit of the shock doctrine.  Soon the financial terrorist class will be able to buy greek islands and tourist attractions on the cheap.

The hoax of austerity will be especially clear when it is imposed in the USA, which is currently suffering the effects of economic deflation (despite commodity inflation) due to banks’ unwillingness to loan money.  Deflation is precisely what austerity does: it removes liquidity from the economy.   And again: it doesn’t work.  It’s just another tactic for deepening the economic shock.

Stand back and take a look at the overall picture: there is no shortage of things that need to be done and no shortage of people who would do them if they could put food on the table.  The problem is the lack of money in the economic system.  The financial vampires are sucking us dry, just as they did in the great depression.

Money is not rocket science, it’s deliberately mystified by those that control it.

Video: Hitler’s Children

“Never has a generation been so completely taken over by a totalitarian state as was the case in Hitler’s Third Reich: at the age of 10 children joined the Jungvolk movement, at 14 they joined the Hitler Youth, and at 18 they joined the party, the Wehrmacht, the SA, or the SS.

“This 5-part documentary by Guido Knopp and the ZDF Contemporary History Department is the first comprehensive film portrayal of the young people in the Third Reich.

“With in-depth witness statements and some previously unpublished archive material, the documentary demonstrates how Hitler succeeded in gaining power over his children through years of manipulation.”

Iran Presses Ahead with Dollar “Attack”

“Iran presses ahead with dollar attack

“Last week, the Tehran Times noted that the Iranian oil bourse will start trading oil in currencies other than the dollar from March 20. This long-planned move is part of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s vision of economic war with the west.”

This is an interesting use of the word “attack”.  But I guess if you think you own the world then anyone with a different idea could be said to be attacking your delusion.  The wonder of it all is that the american people are not yet boycotting federal reserve notes.  Let’s hope it happens before china starts buying up US assets wholesale with the fed’s fraudulent currency.

Video: The Drugging of Our Children

“In the absence of any objective medical tests to determine who has ADD or ADHD, doctors rely in part on standardized assessments and the impressions of teachers and guardians while the they administer leave little room for other causes or aggravating factors, such as diet, or environment. Hence, diagnosing a child or adolescent with ADD or ADHD is often the outcome, although no organic basis for either disease has yet to be clinically proven. Psychiatrists may then prescribe psychotropic drugs for the children without first without making it clear to parents that these medications can have severe side-effects including insomnia, loss of appetite, headaches, psychotic symptoms and even potentially fatal adverse reactions, such as cardiac arrhythmia. And yet, despite these dangers, many school systems actually work with government agencies to force parents to drug their children, threatening those who refuse with the prospect of having their children taken from the home unless they cooperate.”

County Sheriff Project

The carefully constructed left-right divide is certainly in evidence in the left’s lack of outreach to police and the military, who after all are sworn to protect and defend that which is being destroyed by the puppetmasters.  Their willingess to take such an oath is a heck of an indication that their hearts are in the right place, by and large.  So where is the left on this particular issue:

“County Sheriff Project:  Enforcing the Bill of Rights, Protecting the People’s Liberties

“Free America Now!  The county sheriffs are key to taking back our Republics! Please support these brave oath keepers.

” … That this Assembly doth explicitly and peremptorily declare, that it views the powers of the federal government, as resulting from the compact to which the states are parties;…and that in case of a deliberate, palpable and dangerous exercise of other powers not granted by the said compact, the states who are parties thereto have the right, and are in duty bound, to interpose for arresting the pro[gress] of the evil, and for maintaining within their respective limits, the authorities, rights and liberties appertaining to them.”

“Source: The Virginia Resolution, adopted by the Virginia Senate on December 24, 1798, as a protest against the Alien and Sedition Acts passed by Congress. It was authored by James Madison, in collaboration with Thomas Jefferson, who authored a set of resolutions for Kentucky.

“The way to have good and safe government is not to trust it all to one, but to divide it among the many, distributing to every one exactly the functions he is competent to. Let the national government be entrusted with the defense of the nation, and its foreign and federal relations; the State governments with the civil rights, law, police, and administration of what concerns the State generally; the counties with the local concerns of the counties, and each ward direct the interests within itself. It is by dividing and subdividing these republics from the great national one down through all its subordinations, until it ends in the administration of every man’s farm by himself; by placing under every one what his own eye may superintend, that all will be done for the best. What has destroyed liberty and the rights of man in every government which has ever existed under the sun? The generalizing and concentrating all cares and powers into one body.” – Thomas Jefferson

Jefferson was right on.  He had an intuitive grasp of emergence in complex systems.   The problem is generic and present in all sufficiently large governments.  This lesson of history has been forgotten at great peril to all of us.

It’s time for leftists to recognize that the federal government is lost for the foreseeable future.  Whatever the utility of mass action in the building of highways, libraries, public schools etc has become irrelevant.  The tools for such action on a national level are no longer under our control, they are being used against us.  At this time, in this context, there is no difference between socialism and fascism.  The only option which remains is to disengage from the system.  The system is doomed, the only question is whether it will destroy your community in the process of destroying itself.  Localize now.  Turn off your TV, step away from your computer, look around at reality.  There’s a lot to work with right in your own neighborhood.  You don’t need walmart or federal reserve notes to help your neighbor and get help in return.   And guess what, your brain is designed for such social networking.  Time to fire up those atrophied neurons and rediscover your innate human power, which lies in human community.  This is what the ruling elites don’t get: empathy is a far more potent source of social organization than deception and fear.  A lot more fun too.  Their psychopathy is their weakness, not their strength.

The FBI’s Next COINTELPRO Target

“Southern Oregon Conservatives and Liberals Join to Protest NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act of Fiscal Year 2012)

“MEDFORD, OREGON – On Monday 13 February 2012 at Noon in Vogel Plaza there will be a demonstration against the passing of the NDAA, including Wake Up America Southern Oregon, and Occupy Coalition of Ashland, Medford, and Grants Pass, as well as concerned individuals across the political spectrum. ”–Tea-Party-Join-Fo-by-Press-Release-120212-199.html

This is the kind of coalition building that got Judi Bari bombed by the FBI 20 years ago.  ( )  As long as you stay on your side of the left-right Great Wall, you’re safely contained.  But if you try to chisel a hole in it, look out!

BTW: The FBI is still trying to cover its tracks re: Judi Bari.  See above link.

Elite Narratives are Losing their Audience

“Robert Kagan has published an article in the Wall Street Journal entitled “Why the World Needs America.” Kagan is a senior fellow in foreign policy at the Brookings Institution and the article is adapted from The World America Made, published by Alfred A. Knopf.

“The article, in my view, is a good example of how the Internet – and what we call the Internet Reformation – is changing the context of elite dominant social themes. These themes, enunciated throughout the mainstream media, are intended to separate middle classes from wealth and power while supporting globalist institutions.

“Kagan’s article contains nothing new; the alternative Internet media has rebutted it thoroughly with historical facts that are available to anyone who wants to look. This is a big problem for elite narratives.

“When the messaging is easily rebutted in myriad forums it loses its persuasiveness. The top elite families – the ones that apparently control central banking trillions – also evidently and obviously want to create world government. They need people to believe in their narrative structure.

“The primary elite meme within this context would be that over the past century freedom has triumphed over authoritarianism and free markets have triumphed over socialism. Kagan uses historical examples to support his thesis.

“The end of Roman rule destroyed Western civilization for centuries, he claims. Likewise, British control of the seas and the balance of great powers on the European continent provided relative security and prosperity during the 18th and 19th centuries. …”

And Hitler made the trains run on time, I suppose….

More Real History: The Carter Administration: Myth and Reality

“Perhaps the most striking feature of the new Administration is the role played in it by the Trilateral Commission. The mass media had little to say about this matter during the Presidential campaign — in fact, the connection of the Carter group to the Commission was recently selected as “the best censored news story of 1976” — and it has not received the attention that it might have since the Administration took office. All of the top positions in the government — the office of President, Vice-President, Secretary of State, Defense and Treasury — are held by members of the Trilateral Commission, and the National Security Advisor was its director. Many lesser officials also came from this group. It is rare for such an easily identified private group to play such a prominent role in an American Administration.

“The Trilateral Commission was founded at the initiative of David Rockefeller in 1973. Its members are drawn from the three components of the world of capitalist democracy: the United States, Western Europe, and Japan. Among them are the heads of major corporations and banks, partners in corporate law firms, Senators, Professors of international affairs — the familiar mix in extra-governmental groupings. Along with the 1940s project of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), directed by a committed “trilateralist” and with numerous links to the Commission, the project constitutes the first major effort at global planning since the War-Peace Studies program of the CFR during World War II.

“The new “trilateralism” reflects the realization that the international system now requires “a truly common management,” as the Commission reports indicate. The trilateral powers must order their internal relations and face both the Russian bloc, now conceded to be beyond the reach of Grand Area planning, and the Third World.

“In this collective management, the United States will continue to play the decisive role. As Kissinger has explained, other powers have only “regional interests” while the United States must be “concerned more with the overall framework of order than with the management of every regional enterprise.” If a popular movement in the Arabian peninsula is to be crushed, better to dispatch US-supplied Iranian forces, as in Dhofar. If passage for American nuclear submarines must be guaranteed in Southeast Asian waters, then the task of crushing the independence movement in the former Portuguese colony of East Timor should be entrusted to the Indonesian army rather than an American expeditionary force. The massacre of over 60,000 people in a single year will arouse no irrational passions at home and American resources will not be drained, as in Vietnam. If a Katangese secessionist movement is to be suppressed in Zaire (a movement that may have Angolan support in response to the American-backed intervention in Angola from Zaire, as the former CIA station chief in Angola has recently revealed in his letter of resignation), then the task should be assigned to Moroccan satellites forces and to the French, with the US discreetly in the background. If there is a danger of socialism in southern Europe, the German proconsulate can exercise its “regional interests.” But the Board of Directors will sit in Washington….

“The Trilateral Commission has issued one major book-length report, namely, The Crisis of Democracy (Michel Crozier, Samuel Huntington, and Joji Watanuki, 1975). Given the intimate connections between the Commission and the Carter Administration, the study is worth careful attention, as an indication of the thinking that may well lie behind its domestic policies, as well as the policies undertaken in other industrial democracies in the coming years.

“The Commission’s report is concerned with the “governability of the democracies.” Its American author, Samuel Huntington, was former chairman of the Department of Government at Harvard, and a government adviser. He is well-known for his ideas on how to destroy the rural revolution in Vietnam. He wrote in Foreign Affairs (1968) that “In an absent-minded way the United States in Vietnam may well have stumbled upon the answer to ‘wars of national liberation.'” The answer is “forced-draft urbanization and modernization.” Explaining this concept, he observes that if direct application of military force in the countryside “takes place on such a massive scale as to produce a massive migration from countryside to city” then the “Maoist-inspired rural revolution may be “undercut by the American-sponsored urban revolution.” The Viet Cong, he wrote, is “a powerful force which cannot be dislodged from its constituency so long as the constituency continues to exist. …”

“The report argues that what is needed in the industrial democracies “is a greater degree of moderation in democracy” to overcome the “excess of democracy” of the past decade. “The effective operation of a democratic political system usually requires some measure of apathy and noninvolvement on the part of some individuals and groups.” This recommendation recalls the analysis of Third World problems put forth by other political thinkers of the same persuasion, for example, Ithiel Pool (then chairman of the Department of Political Science at MIT), who explained some years ago that in Vietnam, the Congo, and the Dominican Republic, “order depends on somehow compelling newly mobilized strata to return to a measure of passivity and defeatism… At least temporarily the maintenance of order requires a lowering of newly acquired aspirations and levels of political activity.” The Trilateral recommendations for the capitalist democracies are an application at home of the theories of “order” developed for subject societies of the Third World. … ”

What we’re currently experiencing, well behind schedule largely due to the internet and the collapse of the soviet union, is Huntington’s remedy for “excess democracy:” the destruction of the middle class.  The problem for the globalists is that it’s too late to lower people’s aspirations or political activity, the aristocrats’ mechanisms of control have already been laid bare by the internet for anyone who’s paying attention.   Thus Brzezinski’s reference to the overlord’s capacity for mass murder is especially chilling.  Unfortunately Chomsky isn’t willing to take such considerations to their logical conclusion.

BFP: The Makings of a Police State part 4

“This is Part IV of our interview series on the Makings of a Police State. You can listen to previous segments here.

“Cindy Cohn joins us to discuss the critical constitutional questions raised by the government’s ongoing warrantless-illegal surveillance of American citizens without probable cause or a judicial warrant, and the implications of billions of everyday communications of ordinary Americans being swept up by government computers and run through a process that includes both data-mining and review of content. She provides us with her assessment of Obama’s presidency and his track record in not only maintaining but expanding the previous administration’s system of secrecy and abuse of power through authoritarian legal doctrines such as state secrets privilege. Ms. Cohn talks about the disappearance of separation of powers, the total abdication of responsibility by the US Congress, and the speedy rise of the police state in America today.

Cindy Cohn is the Legal Director for the Electronic Frontier Foundation as well as its General Counsel. Outside the Courts, Ms. Cohn has testified before Congress, been featured in the New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle and elsewhere for her work on cyberspace issue. The National Law Journal named Ms. Cohn one of 100 most influential lawyers in America in 2006 for “rushing to the barricades wherever freedom and civil liberties are at stake online.” In 2007 the Journal named her one of the 50 most influential women lawyers in America. In 2010 Intellectual Property Section of the State Bar of California awarded her its Intellectual Property Vanguard Award.
