Lies, Damn Lies and Labor Statistics

“Record 1.2 Million People Fall Out Of Labor Force In One Month, Labor Force Participation Rate Tumbles To Fresh 30 Year Low

“A month ago, we joked when we said that for Obama to get the unemployment rate to negative by election time, all he has to do is to crush the labor force participation rate to about 55%. Looks like the good folks at the BLS heard us: it appears that the people not in the labor force exploded by an unprecedented record 1.2 million. No, that’s not a typo: 1.2 million people dropped out of the labor force in one month! So as the labor force increased from 153.9 million to 154.4 million, the non institutional population increased by 242.3 million meaning, those not in the labor force surged from 86.7 million to 87.9 million. Which means that the civilian labor force tumbled to a fresh 30 year low of 63.7% as the BLS is seriously planning on eliminating nearly half of the available labor pool from the unemployment calculation. As for the quality of jobs, as withholding taxes roll over Year over year, it can only mean that the US is replacing high paying FIRE jobs with low paying construction and manufacturing. So much for the improvement.

“Chart below shows it all – that jump is not a fat finger!” …

“We have examined the nuance of the euphoric jobs data this morning from every angle and by now there should be plenty of ‘information’ for investors to make their own minds up on its credibility. However, the avuncular CEO of TrimTabs, who despite channeling Lewis Black lately, likely knows this data a little better than the average Jim on the street having collected tax witholdings data for the past 14 years, is modestly apoplectic at the adjustments. In one of his more colorful episodes, and rightfully so, Charles Biderman notes that “Either there is something massively changed in the income tax collection world, or there is something very, very suspicious about today’s BLS hugely positive number,” adding, “Actual jobs, not seasonally adjusted, are down 2.9 million over the past two months. It is only after seasonal adjustments – made at the sole discretion of the Bureau of Labor Statistics economists – that 2.9 million fewer jobs gets translated into 446,000 new seasonally adjusted jobs.” A 3.3 million “adjustment” solely at the discretion of the BLS? And this from the agency that just admitted it was underestimating the so very critical labor participation rate over the past year? Finally, Biderman wonders whether the BLS is being pressured during an election year to paint an overly optimistic picture by President Obama’s administration in light of these ‘real unadjusted job change’ facts. Frankly, in light of recent discoveries about the other “impartial” organization, the CBO, we don’t think there is any need to wonder at all.” …

Monsanto and the Federal Goverment: Recombinant Bureaucracy

This graphic, found at , is certainly indicative of a systemic problem.  The UK is finally kicking the bastards out.  How much longer will it take here?

monsantogovernment 410x277 Breaking: Monsanto Forced Out of UK by ActivistsAddendum: the original article is based on something that was mistakenly reposted from 2003.   Apparently the tick is still latched onto the jugulars of the british people.

Text of Leaked Arab League Report on Syria

“The report acknowledges the existence of  “an armed entity” involved in the killings of civilians and police as well as the conduct of terrorist acts, which contributed to triggering actions by government forces.   The Report refers to “armed opposition groups” as well as to the “Free Syrian Army”,  both of which, according to the AL Mission, are involved in the deliberate killing of innocent civilians:

“In some zones, this armed entity reacted by attacking Syrian security forces and citizens, causing the Government to respond with further violence. In the end, innocent citizens pay the price for those actions with life and limb.

“In Homs, Idlib and Hama, the Observer Mission witnessed acts of violence being committed against Government forces and civilians that resulted in several deaths and injuries. Examples of those acts include the bombing of a civilian bus, killing eight persons and injuring others, including women and children, and the bombing of a train carrying diesel oil. In another incident in Homs, a police bus was blown up, killing two police officers. A fuel pipeline and some small bridges were also bombed. ”

“Such incidents include the bombing of buildings, trains carrying fuel, vehicles carrying diesel oil and explosions targeting the police, members of the media and fuel pipelines. Some of those attacks have been carried out by the Free Syrian Army and some by other armed opposition groups.”

Is there any conceivable reason that an ideologically motivated liberation group would be targetting civilians or the media?  No.  This fact speaks volumes about who these people are and who they work for.

Iran: USA put Mullahs in Power

This article is in keeping with my own readings from 20 years ago, listed in the reference section: CIA Cemented Ayatollahs’ Hold on Power in Iran , and  The Jihad Schoolbook Scandal .  The empire’s dealings with the middle east have been exceeding treacherous but well suited to maintaining a constant state of tension and control of the region (as well as the USA itself).  I’d only take issue with the author’s implication that the mullahs know who their master is.   It’s only necessary to manipulate money flows to a cause in order to control it, but  anonymity is essential in the operation.  The same principle holds here at home.  The strategy of wealth is infiltration.

Real history is often just another conspiracy theory.

“The Globalist Hand Behind The Iranian Mullahs

“The mainstream history of the U.S.-Iranian conflict is that Iran’s democracy was destroyed in 1953 as a result of a British-U.S. coup that put the despotic Shah in power to obediently serve his colonial masters, an act which was avenged a generation later by the fiercely independent and militant Iranian mullahs, led by Ayatollah Khomeini.

“This simplistic and narrow-minded narrative omits indisputable historical evidence which shows that Iran’s fundamentalist clerics have never been independent and militant vis-à-vis the West, but rather have remained subservient to U.S.-British geopolitical interests and goals in the region while pretending to represent the people of Iran and the religion of Islam.”
